'Bad Luck' - SL
Produced by Kenny Beats, this well could be drill legend SL's best track yet.
'Clutch' - Col3trane feat. Kiana Ledé
Smooth vocals, emotional nuance and heavenly harmonies. Another fire track from superstar Col3trane and R&B goddess Kiana Ledé, who recently collabed with Ari Lennox. This is also one of the tracks to feature on Col3trane's upcoming EP entitled It's Safer Inside.
'Racks 2 Skinny' - Migos
Migos could literally make a song solely from adlibs and it would still somehow sound fire. Following their release 'Taco Tuesday' last week, #MigoMondays continue with the heavily ad-libbed 'Racks 2 Skinny' produced by DJ Durel. Littered with glorious soundbites, my highlight is when Quavo rhymes 'clock out' with 'cock out' and then shouts 'cock out' in the background. Pure artistry.
'Stars Align' - Lila Iké
Lile Iké's 7 track EP The ExPerience is not one to miss. Featuring previously released singles 'I Spy' and 'Where I'm Coming From', it has the perfect combination of blissful vibes with a hearty energy. It also hit #1 on the Reggae Album charts on iTunes. Expect huge things from this artist.
'Ridin Strikers' - Future
On ‘Ridin Strikers’, Future paints a perfect picture of his dealings with his enemies. Over a classical guitar instrumental, the Atlanta rapper is sounding like DS2 Future. But then the beat switches unexpectedly, and Future’s tone switches from boastful to straight-out aggressive. The level of musicianship in this song is incredible, and Southside and ATL Jacob did a phenomenal job on the production.
'twisted' & 'M.O.B' - Brockhampton
The Brockhampton boys continue to tease us with new music with two further tracks appearing on YouTube in the past week. 'twisted' is a sexy laid back joint with help from Ryan Betty and Christian Alexander and 'M.O.B.' bringing the more classic hip-hop, soul sampling mixtape vibes. Weirdly 'N.S.T.' and 'things can't stay the same' released last week have been taken down, which more than likely means these two will follow suit, so get your Brockhampton fix right here while you can.
